Our daughter Brooklyn Lyman is serving in the Japan Nagoya Mission. She entered the Provo MTC on June 10, 2015 and arrived in Japan on August 11, 2015. She has been serving in the Suwa Branch in Nagano, Japan now for 5 weeks. She loves her mission and the opportunity to teach the people of Japan. She loves the gospel of Jesus Christ and how the knowledge of His atoning sacrifice and application of repentance transforms lives for the better. We feel the spirit of love through her emails. She shares what she is learning in the gospel and how her testimony is growing and especially the love she has for all of our Heavenly Father’s children.
We feel more energized to do missionary work ourselves and opening our mouths more often because of her service.
An excerpt from her last letter:
こんにちは !Sunday!!! Hayashi San was baptized!!!!!! Hayashi Shimai (Sister) now 🙂
Her baptism was early in the morning at 8:30am and she was confirmed in
sacrament meeting at 10am 🙂 It was so beautiful!
She was so happy! It was an amazing experience! She also brought a friend with her! She and her friend were both crying together. They felt the spirit so strongly.
Her friend is very interested in the church too! It was an absolutely wonderful day! It was also fast and testimony meeting. The spirit was there the whole time! It was great! That night we all went over to a members house for dinner and we sang
songs together it was so fun!!!! A very memorable day!! I am so happy to be a missionary!!! I love this gospel and I know it is true! 🙂
You can tell by the number of exclamations she includes in her writing, how truly happy she is. We are blessed to have a daughter serving the Lord.
